“I found the charts and illustrations useful and have downloaded these for quick reference.”

Person with type 1 diabetes

Course completed: Understanding Type 1 Diabetes

“I have had diabetes for 12 years now and became quite complacent about it. It was very good to take the refresher course. Everyone should do it.”

Person with type 2 diabetes

Course completed: Understanding Type 2 diabetes

“Hearing the stories of others and having access to doctors in the live sessions was the most valuable part of the course for me.”

Person with type 1 diabetes

Course completed: Understanding Type 1 diabetes

“The questions after each section really helped in ensuring that I understood what I had read. When not getting a question right, the correct answer came up and made me go over the points again. Also, the short film clips were very good. Gave me a better understanding of my diabetes type 2.”

Person with type 2 diabetes

Course completed: Understanding Type 2 diabetes

“I have had Type 1 Diabetes for over 40 years and although I think I generally manage it well, I'm aware that at times I can fall into patterns of behaviour without considering other options. The course was an excellent reminder of all the important issues and prompted me to try specific changes such as injecting 15-30 mins before, rather than directly before I eat.”

Person with type 1 diabetes

Course completed: Type 1 & Technology

“I chose this course as I am interested in pump therapy but at present use a pen and multiple daily doses, so I have gained an initial insight into pump therapy. I very much liked hearing from people with Type1 as it helped me feel connected.”
